Contractor Verification

For programme administrators, auditors and inspectors. Everything you would normally email us for, on one public page with no login.

Why this page exists

When a rebate file lands on somebody's desk and the contractor needs checking, the usual route is an email, a day of waiting, and a PDF. That is a slow way to answer questions that do not need to be private. So they are answered here, publicly, and this page is stable — it is meant to be linked to from a file.

Programme participation

Top Reno Solutions is a participating contractor under the Home Renovation Savings programme delivered by Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy. Registration details, contractor identifiers and stream enrolments are held by the programme and can be confirmed directly with it; we will supply our identifiers on request to an administrator at a programme address.

Registration numbers, certificates and policy numbers are deliberately not published in full on a public page. They are supplied on request, same business day, to a verifiable programme or utility address.

Quality assurance — what is recorded on every job

  • Pre-work depth, measured at the joist, away from the hatch and the eaves, with photographs.
  • Condition of the soffit intake and the presence or absence of baffles, before and after.
  • Air sealing performed, itemised by location.
  • Material, product data, coverage and bag count against the manufacturer's coverage chart.
  • Post-work depth with markers left standing in the attic and photographed in place.
  • Named installer and date.

The record is assembled for the rebate file, and the same record is given to the homeowner. Where an administrator requests the file for a specific address, it is released on the homeowner's authorisation.

Complaints and warranty

Complaints are taken by telephone or email at the addresses above and are acknowledged within one business day. Where a site visit is needed it is offered within five business days. Workmanship is warranted; the written terms are issued with the invoice and a copy is supplied on request.

A homeowner who is not satisfied with our response can escalate to the programme directly, and we will not treat that as a reason to withhold documentation.

What we ask of administrators

If a file has a defect, tell us what the defect is rather than rejecting on a code. Most of what gets kicked back in this trade is a photograph angle or a missing depth marker, and both are fixable in a day if somebody says which one it is.
